BILQIS seminars February - March 2025
Upcoming seminars by the BILQIS Team
Dr. Nazife Kosukoğlu will present a paper titled "Harbor of Change: Rewriting Women's Property Rights and Islamic Family Law in Thessaloniki" at the University of Galway School of Law School Research Seminar on 25th of February at 1pm.
Nazife is also organising an Ottoman History Seminar Series on 26th of March, at 4pm, with a guest speaker: Dr. Mehmet Polatel. Dr. Polatel will present a paper titled "The Burden of Mass Violence: Impunity and Material Interests in the Armenian Genocide".
Dr. Tiba Bonyad will present a paper titled "‘Islamic Family Law and the Gendered Normalisation of donor-egg Assisted Reproduction in Iran", at the University of Galway School of Law School Research Seminar on 11th of February at 1pm.
